THE NUTCRACKER Will Come to the Royal Danish Theatre in November
Performances will run Nov. 20 through Dec. 22, 2026
The Royal Danish Theatre will present “The Nutcracker” at the Royal Opera House in Copenhagen this winter, with performances scheduled to run from Nov. 20 through Dec. 22, 2026, as part of the company’s 2026–2027 ballet season.
The production, staged by the Royal Danish Ballet, continues the company’s long-running tradition of presenting George Balanchine’s interpretation of the Tchaikovsky classic during the holiday period. Casting for the production has not yet been fully announced, though the company’s principal roster typically includes International Artists such as Jonas Kåge, Holly Dorger, and Sebastian Kloborg in rotating roles throughout the season.
The ballet will be performed at the Royal Opera House at Holmen in Copenhagen, the company’s primary venue. Ticket sales are available through the Royal Danish Theatre’s official website, where pricing and seating categories vary depending on performance date and seating section.
The production is part of a broader winter lineup at the Royal Danish Ballet, which also includes “Jewels” running earlier in the fall and “Beneath the Depths” scheduled for early 2027.
