Appearing this weekend at Side Splitters Comedy Club in Tampa, Fla. is Tammy Pescatelli, from September 13 to the 16th.

Comedian Tammy Pescatelli is the kind of woman you wish was your sister or your best friend. Like a good sister, she‘s always ready with a good joke or lively quip. Tammy learned her funny skills growing up in a large Italian household outside of Cleveland. On her album, IT IS WHAT IT IS, she uses every bit of her experience to make us laugh about family, religion, and even politics (her sister thinks Al Qaeda is a guy from the neighborhood.) But like a best friend, she also gives us great advice on everything from drinking tips to keeping us grounded (“Just because a man wants to sleep with you doesn‘t mean you‘re sexy. I have brothers that will hump a couch.“) When people ask her – “Where do you get your material?“ Tammy famously replies, “I wake up!“

Tammy‘s recent reality series, A Stand Up Mother (which she co-created, executive produced, wrote and starred in) on WEtv, documented her life as she balanced her family and her growing career with a lot of laughs. Being one of the Final Five on NBC‘s “Last Comic Standing 2“ catapulted Tammy‘s career and won her a slew of new fans, solidifying her as one of the sharpest women in the comedy world. She just won “Comedy Central‘s 2010 Stand-Up Showdown”, and has appeared twice as a guest on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno”. She has also recently appeared on BRAVO TV’s “Rocco’s Dinner Party”, CBS’s “The Talk”, Nickeloden’s “NICK Mom’s Night Out”, NBC‘s “Last Comic Standing: The Best of the Best”,and Comedy Central‘s “The World Stands Up!”. Tammy also recently appeared in her own half-hour special for Comedy Central, “Comedy Central Presents: Tammy Pescatelli.“ She has made numerous appearance on the CBC’s hit show,”The Debater’s”, as well as the “Jerry Lewis Telethon“. She has performed on “The Bonnie Hunt Show”, “TBS‘s Evening at the Laugh Factory“, “Last Call with Carson Daly”, and has been a guest a number of times on the syndicated show “Comics Unleashed”, and was chosen for their “Best of the Best“ world wide top selling DVD! She was also featured weekly as part of the “Fashion Police“ panel for US Weekly. And giving pros a run for their money in the poker department, Tammy participated in the GSN poker series “Poker Royale: Comedians vs. Pros”, making it all the way to the finals.

A regular on USO Comedy tours, Tammy has entertained our troops all over the world. She co-stars in the upcoming indie films “Everybody Wants to Be Italian”, “Single“, and “Made in Brooklyn.” For more information, visit www.SideSplittersComedy.com.

Appearing next weekend will be Shane Mauss, from September 20 to 23. Mauss was just back with Team Coco in March for his fourth appearance (first appearance on the new show). You can also hear him regularly on The Bob and Tom Show. In 2010, Shane had his first TV special Comedy Central Presents: Shane Mauss and released his first CD Jokes To Make My Parents Proud with Comedy Central Records, which was named in the Top 10 Albums of 2010 by Punchline Magazine.

Originally from La Crosse, WI, Shane Mauss moved to Boston in 2004 (at the supple, tender age of 23) to pursue his childhood dream of becoming a standup comedian. In less than three years, Shane caught his big break when he was awarded Best Standup Comic at HBO's US Comedy Arts Festival in 2007.

Shane's TV credits include three appearances on Late Night with Conan O'Brien, an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Comedy Central's Live at Gotham, Showtime's Comics Without Borders, Two appearances on BBC's The World Stands Up, and in what is easily his strangest television appearance to date: Playboy TV's Night Calls.

Shane has been in several comedy festivals around the world including The Montreal Just For Laughs Festival, The Comedy Central South Beach Comedy Festival, The Cat Laughs Comedy Festival in Kilkenny, Ireland, The Sydney Comedy Festival, and The Aspen Rooftop Comedy Festival.
