Daniel Hope makes Wolf Trap debut as newly appointed artistic advisor, joined by Grammy-winning ensembles and Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center musicians.
Wolf Trap will continue its Chamber Music at The Barns series in 2026 with a lineup of performances by internationally recognized and rising chamber music artists, building on a season that has marked the 300th anniversary of Wolf Trap’s German Barn.
The spring programming resumes January 30 with musicians from the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center, featuring violinists Danbi Um and Julian Rhee, violist Paul Neubauer, and cellists Nicholas Canellakis and Jonathan Swensen. The program explores a wide range of string repertoire, including works by Boccherini, Beethoven, Barrière, and D’Ambrosio.
On February 8, the Grammy Award–winning Imani Winds presents Grooves and Meditations, a program that bridges global traditions and contemporary voices, with music by Valerie Coleman, Kalevi Aho, Paquito D’Rivera, Stevie Wonder, Fazıl Say, and Simon Shaheen.
Wind music remains in focus on March 1 with Windfest, featuring Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center musicians Tara Helen O’Connor, Juri Vallentin, David Shifrin, Peter Kolkay, David Byrd-Marrow, and pianist Michael Stephen Brown. The program includes works by Strauss, Farrenc, Jolivet, Czerny, Klughardt, and Maurice Emmanuel.
Newly appointed Artistic Advisor Daniel Hope makes his Wolf Trap debut on March 8, joining pianist Wu Han and cellist David Finckel for an evening of piano trios by Haydn, Beethoven, and Dvořák.
On March 27, The Aznavoorian Sisters present a program blending classical repertoire with works reflecting their Armenian heritage, featuring music by Komitas, Debussy, de Falla, Brahms, and Paganini.
The season concludes April 24 with Quintet Revelations, as Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center musicians Chad Hoopes, Richard Lin, Milena Pájaro-van de Stadt, Dmitri Atapine, and Wu Han trace the evolution of the piano quintet through works by Leclair, Arensky, Viotti, and Saint-Saëns.
