The award-winning San Diego Gay Men's Chorus presents the holly jolliest holiday show of the season, Jingle, on Dec. 12 and 13 at the festive Balboa Theatre. Now in its 30th year, the wintery and wonderful spectacular is one of San Diego's favorite holiday traditions.

"It's more than a concert, it's a show with all the holiday music, magic and mischief of the season," said RC Haus, Artistic Director. "From beautiful traditional carols to elves dancing across the stage, our family friendly shows are memories in the making."

The 160-voice chorus of tenors, baritones and basses will present lush renditions of "Silent Night," "Ose Shalom" and "The Christmas Song" complemented by whimsical versions of "Jingle Bell Rock," "Deck the Hall" and Elf's "SparkleJollyTwinkleJingley." Audiences will also enjoy the choruses' famous twinkle-in-the-eye comedic turns on "12 Days After Christmas," "Chanukah in La Jolla" and "Christmas in the Country."

SDGMC's critically acclaimed Chamber Chorale, one of the only masterworks groups of its kind in the country, returns with classic versions of "Fum, Fum, Fum" and "March of the Kings." Also returning is the multi-talented small ensemble Mood Swings with their tale of the most modern of afflictions in "Text Me Merry Christmas." And the whole audience will join in on the fun with our own caroling sing-a-long all under the direction of the dashing Artistic Director Haus.

"We hope everyone joins us for what is always a favorite show of the year," said Bob Lehman, Executive Director. "There's nothing like singing during the holidays-we love it and our audiences love it,"

Jingle tickets are now available at www.sdgmc.org or by calling the Balboa Theatre at (619) 570-1100. Tickets start at $32 and range to $70 for preferred seating. For an additional $35, ticket buyers may enjoy early entry to attend the one-hour earlier Director's Prelude and hear first-hand from Artistic Director Haus about the upcoming show. Guests will also receive complimentary hors d'oeuvres and a beverage.

A $4 discount is available for seniors, students, active-duty military and groups of 10 or more. Customers may save ticket fees by purchasing in person at San Diego Theatres Ticketing Services at Third Avenue and B Street across the plaza from the Civic Theatre weekdays, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. The Balboa Theatre is located at 868 Fourth Avenue adjacent to the Horton Plaza shopping center in downtown San Diego. Prepaid parking for $10 is available when purchasing tickets or in the theatre lobby.
