Rueibin Chen to Perform TOTAL RACHMANINOFF Piano Recital at Segerstrom Concert Hall, 12/7

By:

Invited to be the opening soloist performing the Yellow River Concerto in the 2010 World Expo in China, critics hailed it as the best performance of the iconic piece in its history!

As the youngest prize winner of the International Rachmaninoff Piano Competition, the world-renowned Taiwanese-Austrian pianist Rueibin Chen is deeply influenced by his teacher, Lazar Berman, who is descended from Liszt, Siloti, Goldenweiser and Rachmaninoff. The tour "Total Rachmaninoff" is named after Rachmaninoff and is held in honor of the 140th anniversary of his birth. He is the first pianist to perform Rachmaninoff's Three Nocturnes in Asia and California, USA. On 12/7 Saturday at the famous Segerstrom Concert Hall in Orange County, along with major transcriptions and compositions from the legendary Rachmaninoff, it will also be the S. Cal premiere of the rarely-heard Three Nocturnes written when the composer was a teenager.

This magnificent piano recital by Mr. Chen is a must-see performance and opportunity to see the "Angel Fingered" pianist to pay his highest tribute to Rachmaninoff with complete artistic finish.
