October 2, 2015 - Richmond, Virginia The Richmond Symphony begins the 2015-16 Rush Hour Series with Bartók: Divertimento for String Orchestra at its new location, Hardywood Park Craft Brewery on Thursday, October 22. Audience members can grab a beer, hit the food trucks and relax as they listen to selections from Bartók, Weber and Mozart. The concert features Richmond Symphony's principal clarinetist Jared Davis and will be led by Associate Conductor, Keitaro Harada. All Rush Hour concerts begin at 6:30pm and take place in Hardywood's new Tasting Room.

Davis says that he is curious and excited to perform at Hardywood, and looks forward to playing Weber's second clarinet concerto with his colleagues in the orchestra. It is a piece he first studied as a teenager, and Davis chose to perform it because he feels it is a fun and lighthearted piece for the audience, filled with dance and song.

Tickets are $15 and can be purchased online at richmondsymphony.com or by calling 1.800.514 ETIX. You can also buy tickets at the door at Hardywood Park Craft Brewery one hour prior the concert. Rush Hour concerts often sell out, so buy tickets early.
