GRAMMY Salute To Classical Music will take place in conjunction with Leonard Bernstein at 100: a global, two-year celebration of Bernstein's legacy, hosting over 2,000 events on five continents. In addition to being a legendary composer and conductor, Leonard Bernstein was also a groundbreaking educator; his televised Young People's Concerts with the New York Philharmonic inspired young generations around the world. A lifelong humanitarian, Bernstein devoted himself to building bridges between genres, cultures, and social strata, using music as a tool for communication and understanding. Bernstein's commitment to sharing the joy of music, especially with young people, combined with his altruistic spirit, is what makes him a founding father to classical musicians of the 21st century.

The Lang Lang International Music Foundation will facilitate the attendance of over 1,000 students to this special GRAMMY Week event. Like Bernstein, Lang Lang shares the same passion for providing future generations access to high-quality music education. Lang Lang founded the The Lang Lang International Music Foundation nine years ago to foster talented young classical pianists through technologically advanced music education and live music experiences. Since then, the LangLang International Music Foundation™has been collaborating with communities through youth-centered music programs that support educators and cultivate opportunities for young musicians to create, play, and perform together.
