LA Phil Announces Updates to the 2013/14 Season at Walt Disney Concert Hall

The Los Angeles Philharmonic announces the following program changes for the 2013/14 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Peter Lieberson's Shing Kham, originally scheduled for its world premiere performances at Walt Disney Concert Hall in May 2011, was postponed due to the composer's ongoing health issues and subsequent passing. Now, Oliver Knussen has realized the orchestration of one movement with the assistance of Lieberson's associate Dejan Bajnar's transcription of the composer's short score. The work will be premiered at Walt Disney Concert Hall October 3, 4, 5 & 6, 2013.

Oliver Knussen's Cello Concerto will be replaced with the world premiere of an LA Phil-commissioned cello and orchestra work by Magnus Lindberg. The Knussen Concerto will be premiered in a future season.
