Author Violeta F. Sterner knows her way around a suspense story. With the release of her first novel, "Cold from the Inside Out," Sterner established herself as a writer of note. Now, with the release of her newest work, "The Moonlight Emporium: Further Adventures of the Ravenwood Clan" (published by Trafford Publishing), she's back and doing what she does best - weaving an entertaining story.

In this sequel to "Cold from the Inside Out," Sterner returns to the drama-filled life of her formidable heroine, Kate, and the saga of the Ravenwood family.

When Kate decides to get professional help to undo the damage of living through the blizzard that almost killed her in "Cold from the Inside Out," she gets much more than she bargained for.

"If a project was big, bad and ugly, it was mine," jokes Sterner, a former project manager who is used to tackling hard subjects with gusto. She takes the same approach with her writing, penning complicated, relatable scenes that speak to a variety of life's challenges.

In "The Moonlight Emporium," she hopes to encourage readers to see how new experiences can dramatically change their outlook on life and, ultimately, broaden their perspective.

When asked of her book's overall theme, she replies simply: "how to make a new life and be happy."
