Nancy Next Announces the Release of Trash Talk: Words Matter Nancy Next has been teaching high school for 18 years. Through all those years, she learned that most conflicts arise because kids are not mindful of their trash talk. This learning prompted her to write “Trash Talk: Words Matter” (published by Xlibris). For more details about the book, please visit https://www.amazon.com/Trash-Talk-Matter-Nancy-Next/dp/1984541471.

The book is all about how the way “we talk to people” can make others feel attacked, shamed, uncomfortable or a little bit smaller. “Trash Talk: Words Matter” will help readers spot the trash talk, teach them how to deal with it and, more importantly, helps to understand and love the trash talker. This is important because sometimes the trash talker is themselves.

“From the vastness of national politics to our one-on-one relationships, we are losing the ability to be civil to one another,” Next points out. “‘Trash Talk: Words Matter’ takes civility to the next level, and that level is love.”

“Trash Talk: Words Matter” aims to help kids be empowered, confident, loved and a little bit bigger. “The more you know yourself through your trash talk, the more you can understand and love other people, even with their trash talk. The more you know you, the more you can understand you. That is the prize. Grab it,” Next adds.
