NASHVILLE, Tenn., Nov. 6, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ There are between 750,000-800,000 unemployed veterans. A new book entitled Veterans Unemployment-Stand by Them/How You Can Help/Solutions by Mark Baird is about how businesses and patriotic citizens can help considerably reduce that number. A headline from the Washington Times on July 8, 2013 brings to light this unfortunate issue: "Grim reality: 21 percent of young American veterans are jobless."

An American Crisis: Veterans Unemployment was an Amazon.com best seller in three separate genres. We want to provide 10,000 books for unemployed Veterans between Veterans Day and Christmas. The Publisher is offering deep discounts to make it affordable for everyone to help an unemployed veteran.

The book is a collaborative effort by 24 leading visionaries and participants to solve this problem. An Army general, an Army colonel, the president of VetJobs, a chaplain, a Congressional Medal of Merit recipient, a sergeant major, a wounded warrior, a military spouse, a Fortune 500 VP and more contribute insightful and poignant chapters with the purpose of getting veterans back to work expediently, or to assist them in becoming successful entrepreneurs. View the Tip Sheet which gives a more detailed overview and a list of the contributing authors.

Contributing authors from every branch of our military have provided material for this book. These are U.S. veterans who have successfully re-integrated back into civilian life from the 'other world' of the U.S. military. They share personal experiences and trials in finding employment, creating income and establishing a secure foundation for themselves and their families. These authors have chosen to continue serving by helping others leaving the military avoid the hardships and struggles they and many others have gone through.

Unless otherwise designated, all donated books will be sent to HirePatriots, a non-profit that helps veteran find temporary and full-time employment throughout the country.
