Inspiring Children's Book Addresses Issue on 'Teacher Bullying' Barbara Daniels believes that bullying is a major issue in today's society, and that children need to know what it is and how to defend themselves. In her book titled “Timmy Teacup’s Terrific and Terrible Tale: A Story About School and Bullying” (published by Archway Publishing), she shows what bullying is and what it is not by how teachers treat their students.

The children’s book is about a young third grade boy who cannot tolerate the ultra-strict teacher that he has. It is traumatizing him to the point that he comes home crying almost every day. When he says to his parents that he “feels like a big blob of nothing,” they know something must be done.

In essence, the book addresses the issue of “teacher bullying.” Daniels drew inspiration from the stories of her mother who taught for 50 years and witnessed these kinds of situation. “I hesitated to write this story, but she said it was a story that needed to be told,” she shares.

Through the story, Daniels wants the parents to be aware that if their child comes home crying and saying the teacher is mean, they need to listen and not just push the issue aside.
