A lifetime in the making, Ernie Nivens shares his experiences growing up with religious values as a Southern boy turn true gentleman in his latest book, A Light In The Darkness.

Referred to as "The Will Rogers of the South," Nivens lends his perceptions on hope, faith, and overcoming life challenges to his extensive, personal work with people. As a Methodist minister for over 20 years turned financial advisor for over 23 years, Nivens is well accustomed to looking into the human heart and instilling hope and reassurance on many levels.

"My 40 plus years of eye-to-eye, heart-to-heart synchronization with people has given me the opportunity to really connect and understand universal human values and concerns," says Nivens. "Relationships provide the foundation for my writings not theory," he adds.

Celebrating the richness and vitality of Southern culture, Nivens takes readers on a journey through time for a deeper look at life in a small town. Comprised of heartwarming tales, cautionary advice, and life lessons learned through coming of age in his Southern and Christian environment, Nivens highlights the influences that lead to his life successes including becoming a popular speaker, financial adviser and previous United Methodist minister.
