In "Tyrannosaurus Rex In: I've Got to Start Changing My Ways" (published by Trafford Publishing), the new illustrated children's book by Ellis Hogan, a tyrannosaurus rex tries to change his ways and make new friends.

Unlike many other children's books, "Tyrannosaurus Rex In:" is more cautionary tale than instruction book. The tyrannosaur tries to change his ways, eating straw instead of other dinosaurs, but in the end is incapable of changing his nature. He's a tyrannosaur; he can't eat straw.

An excerpt from "Tyrannosaurus Rex In:"

"I know, I'll go and talk to the one that these dinosaurs call, Chief. He'll spread the word if I can convince him that I've turned over a new leaf. I'm eating straw and I really want to be friends with everybody."

"Some folks will mistreat those around them," Hogan warns, "and although they may appear to be friendly we have to be watchful of others who don't really want true friendship but to rather use people in their goal to get what they want."
