Author/Photographer Reveals East Africa in New Book

Artist and photographer Neil McClure returns with the much awaited follow-up to his first book, "Mombasa Revisited." Titled "Habari Ya Safari?" (published by Xlibris), this recently released photography book features a collection of images gleaned from four separate trips to East Africa between 2009 and 2014.

McClure describes his second work as a "journey through life as seen through the perspective of a traveling artist and photographer in search of inspiration and adventure." The title is a Kiswahili phrase that means, "How was your journey?"

"Habari Ya Safari?" brings together a hundred carefully selected colored and black and white photographs that may be categorized as street and travel photography. Readers who loved McClure's first book will enjoy the snapshots of the vibrant life, culture and traditions of Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar featured in this second anthology.

McClure hopes that his book will inspire a sense of choice and possibility upon his readers. A testament to the diversity of human experience and the author's spirit of adventure, "Habari Ya Safari?" will appeal to armchair travelers, photography enthusiasts and anyone interested in life in East Africa.

Neil McClure is an exhibiting artist and photographer from Melbourne, Australia. He has studied fine arts at Monash University-Caulfield and University of California-Davis. He is currently completing a master of visual art degree at Federation University-Australia's Gippsland campus.
