Every year, the harbor-side neighborhood of Red Hook, Brooklyn enjoys a summer arts celebration. Red Hook Fest features a lineup of professional music and dance companies, over a dozen pre-professional youth dance groups, vital community resources, and fun activities for all ages such as kayak rides, face-painting, and an interactive scavenger hunt.

This year's festival will begin on Friday, June 1 with the Community Cookout & DJ Dance Party at PS15, The Patrick F. Daly School (71 Sullivan Street in Red Hook, Brooklyn), from 5:30 pm-8:30 pm. DJ Mikey Palms and local performers will entertain as attendees enjoy delicious fare courtesy of Fairway Market. The 25th Anniversary performances feature a stellar lineup, including Ronald K. Brown/EVIDENCE, Bombazo Dance Company, Soul Science Lab, and Peliroja.
