Tennessee Williams was the greatest American playwright of the 20th century. This is his most loved play. After three pulsing productions of Shakespeare, director David Berthold puts his inimitable stamp on this spellbinding story of a family bursting at the seams.

Laura Wingfield is painfully shy and her domineering mother Amanda desperately wants her married. Tom, our narrator, works in a factory to support the family but dreams of life as a poet. Pushed by his mother, he finds Laura a ‘gentleman caller’ to bring it all to a head.
