All good things come to an end and on Sunday 30 April, the much acclaimed Brisbane season of Lerner & Loewe's My Fair Lady, directed by Julie Andrews, must close.

Described as "a triumph" (The Courier Mail) and "smashing" (Brisbanetimes.com.au) My Fair Lady, produced by Opera Australia and John Frost, has charmed Brisbane audiences since opening in March receiving overwhelming praise, applause and standing ovations.

My Fair Lady features a stellar cast led by acclaimed theatre, film and television actor Charles Edwards, as Professor Higgins, alongside young star Anna O'Byrne as Eliza Doolittle, Reg Livermore who plays the role of Alfred P. Doolittle, Robyn Nevin as Mrs Higgins and Mark Vincent as Freddy Eynsford-Hill. The role of Colonel Hugh Pickering is played by Tony Llewellyn-Jones and Deidre Rubenstein plays Mrs. Pearce.

This beloved musical which took the world by storm when it opened on Broadway in 1956, tells the tale of a Cockney flower girl named Eliza Doolittle whose world was forever changed by the brilliant and demanding phoneticist, Henry Higgins. The clash of cultures sparks some of theatre's most witty dialogue and wonderful songs including Wouldn't It Be Loverly?, On The Street Where You Live, I Could Have Danced All Night and Get Me to the Church on Time.

Don't miss the My Fair Lady, the Brisbane season must close on Sunday 30 April.
