The Cambridge Symphony Orchestra (CSO), a community orchestra based in Cambridge MA dedicated to bringing high-quality classical music to audiences at an affordable price, streams a production of Tchaikovskys ballet Sleeping Beauty.The production, which is free online to all, features CSO musicians as well as professional ballet dancers affiliated with City Ballet of Boston, a nonprofit that presents exciting and creative dance performances to Bostons diverse community. The dance components will be filmed inside the Fairmont Copley Plaza Grand Ballroom, and will visually portray an abridged version of the Sleeping Beauty story.This event builds on the CSOs previous success producing a live stream event in December 2020, titled Holiday Pops: Festive Stories for the Whole Family, which showcased a telling of Tchaikovskys The Nutcracker with live ballet, alongside other musical collaborations with Perkins School for the Blind and UMass Lowell.
