SpeakEasy Stage Presents Seth Rudetsky’s That 70s Deconstruction Show

By: May. 20, 2011

On Tuesday & Wednesday, May 24 & 25, SpeakEasy Stage Company will proudly present the return of Broadway funnyman Seth Rudetsky with an all new show called THAT 70s DECONSTRUCTION SHOW.

Join us for an evening of outrageous comedy as Seth digs deep into his vault of rare footage to share with you some of the best -- and very worst performances -- from his ah-mah-zing collection of 70s variety and awards shows. Cher, Liza, and even the Brady Bunch are both celebrated and skewered in this hilarious behind-the-scenes Broadway insider event.
Mr. Rudetsky is a New York actor, singer, pianist, author, comedian, columnist, vocal coach and radio personality. He currently serves as the afternoon Broadway host on Sirius/XM radio, and also writes the weekly "Onstage and Off" column for Playbill.com.

As a musician, he has played piano for more than a dozen Broadway shows and was the vocal coach for MTV's reality show "Legally Blonde: The Search for the Next Elle Woods." Mr. Rudetsky was also the Artistic Producer/Music Director for the first five annual Actors' Fund Fall Concerts including Dreamgirls with Audra MacDonald and Hair with Jennifer Hudson, the latter for which he received a Grammy Nomination.

As a comic, he won the title "Funniest Gay Male in NY" at Stand-Up NY, had a long-running show at Caroline's Comedy Club, and spent two years as a comedy writer on "The Rosie O'Donnell Show," for which he earned three Emmy Nominations.

This past year, Mr. Rudetsky received the Best Visiting Production IRNE Award for his last production with SpeakEasy, Seth Rudetsky's Deconstructing Broadway.
