The Vineyard Playhouse and Andrew Asnes present a staged reading on August 2, 2010 of a new play by Johanna Baldwin directed by Doug Liman (Swingers, The Bourne Identity, Mr. & Mrs. Smith). The reading will star stage and television star Tony Shalhoub ("Monk," Lend Me A Tenor) and Tony Award Winner Priscilla Lopez (A Chorus Line, A Day in Hollywood/A Night in the Ukraine, In the Heights). The reading is part of the Monday Night Specials series at The Playhouse.

Doug Liman a world renowned filmmaker and producer whose credits include Swingers, The Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith as well the upcoming film Fair Game starring Sean Penn and Naomi Watts. A Childproof Room is his first foray into legitimate theater. Liman states, "After reading this play for the first time, I had tears in my eyes The piece left a lasting imprint on my mind and heart. I had to work with this brilliant playwright."

Tony Shalhoub is an Emmy, Golden Globe and SAG award winner for his long-running series "Monk." He is currently starring on Broadway in the acclaimed production of Lend Me A Tenor. Tony's numerous feature film credits include Galaxy Quest, Spy Kids, The Siege, Searching for Bobby Fisher, Primary Colors, Men in Black, The Man Who Wasn't There and Big Night. He was heard as the voice of Luigi in the hit film Cars. Shalhoub made his directorial debut with the independent film Made-Up, in which he co-starred with his wife, Brooke Adams. An accomplished stage actor, Shalhoub's credits include Waiting for Godot, The Heidi Chronicles, and The Odd Couple. His last New York stage appearance was at the Second Stage Theatre in Theresa Rebeck's The Scene.

Priscilla Lopez is a Tony, Obie and Drama Desk award winner. Broadway: Anna in the Tropics, The Sisters Rosensweig, Nine, Hollywood/Ukraine, Lysistrata, A Chorus Line, Pippin, Company, Her First Roman, Henry Sweet Henry, and Breakfast at Tiffany's.
