Actors' Shakespeare Project (ASP) is fulfilling a promise made earlier this year to strengthen its staff structure, as evidenced by its most recent hire of Mia Tavan as Director of Marketing and the three internal promotions including Heather Stern, General Manager; Lindsay Williams, Education and Project Associate; and Laura Bakopolus, Marketing and Development Associate/Patron Services Manager. All positions will take effect in August 2015.

The leadership team of Allyn Burrows, Kim Dawson, and Mara Sidmore is thrilled to welcome Mia to the team. According to Interim Executive Producer Kim Dawson, "This year, we are dedicated to deepening our relationships with our current audiences and expanding the awareness of our education and community programming. I am confident that Mia is the perfect person to lead these efforts. Her experience and graciousness will be a wonderful addition to our talented staff."

Mia has been in marketing and communications in the Greater Boston area for nearly 15 years, with experience in public, private, and nonprofit organizations such as the MBTA, Animal Rescue League of Boston, and Boston Lyric Opera. She has a Masters in Communications Management from Simmons College and extensive networks in the arts community and beyond which she plans on leveraging at her new position at ASP. Mia was particularly attracted to this position because of the company's work with youth to help them improve their lives.

Actors' Shakespeare Project is an award-winning professional theater company with a Resident Acting Company and extensive education, youth and community programs. ASP performs and works in found spaces, schools, theaters and neighborhoods to present and explore the robust language, resonant stories, and deeply human characters in Shakespeare's plays and in works by other great playwrights. Our work is ensemble-based and focused on intimacy, storytelling, language, relationships, voice, risk and artistry within and throughout the Boston area.
