Aspire Community Theatre To Presents 42ND STREET

By:

Aspire Community Theatre To Presents 42ND STREET ImageThe ultimate show-biz musical, 42nd Street Broadway, Times Square, and the people who make the magic of musical theatre. Aspiring chorus girl Peggy Sawyer comes to the big city from Allentown PA, and soon lands her first big job in the ensemble of a glitzy new Broadway show. But just before opening night, the leading lady breaks her ankle. Will Peggy be able to step in and become a star?

21 of the areas talented performers will be sharing the Salvation Army Kroc Center stage, acting, singing and dancing to Broadway standards, including "You're Getting To Be A Habit With Me," "Dames," "We're In the Money," "Lullaby of Broadway," "Shuffle Off to Buffalo" and "Forty-Second Street."

Tickets can be purchased online at www.aspirecda.com or by visiting the Box Office at the Kroc two hours prior to performances. This production may not be suitable for young audiences and has a suggested rating of PG-13.

Aspire Community Theatre offers a conservatory approach to theatre education, and provides something tangible to work on for the young and young-at-heart artists in our area. In addition to main stage productions, Aspire Community Theatre hopes to offer Master Classes, smaller scale performance opportunities, and technical experience to the theatre artist wanting to sink their teeth into interesting (and entertaining) productions; theatre produced in the same way professional companies approach their material and with the same expectation of the budding professional. For more information about Aspire Community Theatre, our mission statement, our upcoming workshop classes, and future shows, please follow us on Facebook, or visit our website. (aspirecda.com)
