Remote Opera is a performance that involves 50 visitor-walkers interacting with the places are taken to. Each group experiences its own show, thanks to this original way of discovering a district, in which the focus is on attentive, sensitive listening. The visitors
are equipped with audioguides, and they can take the time to have a look whenever the commentary and the music arouse their curiosity. Famous and less familiar arias will feature in the course of this unusual tour, which is partly inspired by La Muette de Portici.
In collaboration with La Monnaie and the Kunstenfestivaldesarts, Rimini Protokoll from Germany presents a brand new operatic version of a project that has already been staged with verve in a number of other cities, including Paris, New York, Antwerp, Moscow, and Santiago de Chile. This playful, cheerful, fascinating experience will build new bridges between the city and the opera house.
