Portland Ovations announced their 2016-17 season at Portland's Masonic Temple on Wednesday night to a crowd of just over 150 Members and guests at its Annual Preview Party. Attendees enjoyed food and cocktails before being treated to a special glimpse of the new season, composed of over 30 performances at five different venues, and opening with Tony and Emmy Award-winning chanteuse Kristin Chenoweth on September 29th at Merrill Auditorium.

Artistic Directors of Paines Plough James Grieve and George Perrin today revealed the line-up for COME TO WHERE I'M FROM: LONDON, which will take place across six London venues from 27 June until 6 July. Partnering with new writing theatre company Tamasha, Paines Plough will present 26 writers from across London performing short plays about the place they call home. Director Sean Foley, who has recently enjoyed sell-out success adapting and directing The Painkiller in the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company season of Plays at the Garrick will, starting this autumn, under producer Mark Goucher, direct two new productions in the West End.

International vocalist Lua Hadar and her jazz trio Twist perform Italian and American jukebox hits from the 1950s through 80s in their new show, WHEN IN ROME. After dazzling sold-out audiences around the world, iLuminate, named the best new act in America by "America's Got Talent," returns to New York City this summer for a limited seven-week engagement. Performances are set to begin at Theatre 80 St. Mark's on July 18, 2016 and continue through September 4th.

 Building on the success of previous years, the 'Fade to Black' Play Festival returns with a line-up of ten new short plays. The event will be held at Queensbury Theatre on June 16-18, 2016.

The Bush Theatre today announced a number of ways it will demonstrate the theatre's commitment to nurturing new writing at all levels, from emerging artists to established artists seeking to try something new. The critically acclaimed production of William Nicholson's moving play, SHADOWLANDS, comes to Exeter Northcott Theatre from Tues 28 June to Sat 2 July. Starring Stephen Boxer (Humans, The Iron Lady, Doctors) as C.S. Lewis, Amanda Ryan (The Forsyte Saga) and Dennis Lill (Only Fools and Horses and The Royal), this West End and Broadway hit is the love story of C.S. A concert premiere performance of the new, original British musical EUGENIUS! will take place on 29 June 2016 at the London Palladium. Producers of the new Australian production of the worldwide smash hit musical WE WILL ROCK YOU have announced details for the Perth and Adelaide seasons later this year. The Perth season at the Crown Theatre will begin on 15 November, and tickets will go on sale on 13 June. The Adelaide season at the Festival Theatre will begin on 31 December, and tickets will go on sale on 6 June.
