Alison Cohen is a student at the University of Toronto majoring in Arts and Media Management & Theater based in Toronto, Canada, though she considers New York City her home away from home. She is the host and creator of The Inspiration Show Podcast, a virtual interview series spotlighting artists who have inspired her. Alison has now hosted over 100 episodes featuring Broadway and television professionals whose journeys continue to shape her own. Sharing the stage with Broadway performers who had joined her on the podcast was a true full-circle moment that deepened her love of theater even more. Alison’s favorite shows are the ones that make her feel all the emotions—her list includes Dear Evan Hansen, Parade, The Outsiders, The Notebook, and John Proctor Is the Villain. Being bit by the theater bug has been the greatest gift of Alison’s life. Theater is not just her passion, it’s her purpose. It has given her community, creativity, and courage. Inspired by the idea of “who lives, who dies, who tells your story,” Alison is excited to write and share not only her own stories but also the stories of those who have inspired her. She knows this is only the beginning of a lifelong journey telling stories that move, inspire, and connect us all.
