CHASING TASTE Makes World Premiere at VISIONFEST 2014 TodayMay 16, 2014Fresh from a 'Best Comedy' win at the 2013 Burbank International Film Festival, indie film Chasing Taste has sold out of tickets for its world premiere at VISIONFEST tonight, May 16th at 7:00p.m. at Tribeca Cinemas in New York City. To meet the demand of audience members, VISIONFEST is opening up more seats in a second screening room for a simulcast. Chasing Taste tells the story of a down-and-out novelist who is transformed overnight into NYC's next big food critic. On the cusp of fame and fortune, the writer turned food critic suddenly loses his sense of taste and smell in a freak accident, forcing him to rely on a team of super 'smellers' and tasters to help him fake his reviews. The screenplay is written by Lori Fischer and produced by Ashley Wren Collins, Maitely Weismann and Sean Gannet. The picture also marks the feature film directorial debut of Sean Gannet.

Mary Steenburgen Joins A WALK IN THE WOODSMay 14, 2014Deadline reports that Mary Steenburgen has joined the cast of A WALK IN THE WOODS, the film adaptation of humorist and travel writer Bill Bryson's best-selling memoir. Ken Kwapis (He's Just Not That Into You) directs. The film was written by Academy Award winner Michael Arndt (Little Miss Sunshine).

Hall and Don Johnson to Attend New York Premiere of COLD IN JULY, 5/21May 14, 2014On May 21st, Time Warner Cable and Rooftop Films present the New York premiere of 2014 Sundance hit "Cold In July." Writer/director Jim Mickle and actors Michael C. Hall and Don Johnson will participate in a Q&A after the screening. GALVESTON Film Adaptation, Starring Matthias Schoenaerts, Gets Go-AheadMay 14, 2014Low Spark Films and Jean Doumanian Productions have completed the financing for the upcoming film adaptation of Galveston, written by 'True Detective' creator Nic Pizzolatto. Embankment Films is handling foreign sales, and is currently representing the project in Cannes. Shooting is set to commence in October, 2014.
