Those who accept the invitations will be the only additions to the Academy's membership in 2014.

The Hollywood Reporter writes that Sleepless in Seattle co-stars Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan might reunite in the upcoming film ITHACA, based on William Saroyan's novel The Human Comedy. Hanks is in talks for a cameo appearance in addition to executive producing the feature. ITHACA is Ryan's directorial debut.

Director Michael Canzoniero has just completed principal shooting in 48 hours around NYC for “Making the Day,” a feature length dramedy about two actors trying to raise money for an independent film. Co-directed by Marco Ricco, Stuart Braunstein and Bennett Springsteel and produced by Nikolas Zasimczuk, “Making the Day” may be at least the first feature film with principal shooting to be shot around New York City in 48 hours.
