The Hollywood Reporter writes that Jason Bateman is joining forces again with Universal for an untitled FBI wedding comedy film, with a script from playwright David Bar Katz.

Variety writes that Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation) has joined the upcoming drama WELCOME TO HAPPINESS. He will join previously announced Kyle Gallner in the film, written and directed by Oliver Thompson.

According to Variety, John Heard has signed on for the indie drama SEARCHING FOR FORTUNE, helmed by Joseph Matarrese.

Hanks is in talks for a cameo appearance in addition to executive producing the feature. ITHACA is Ryan's directorial debut.

Andre De Shields (Broadway's 'The Wiz') and Chris Bellant (Warner Bros. upcoming 'Into the Storm') star in 'The Backseat', a high school coming of age comedy. The film will have its second ever New York screening at the Quad Cinema tonight, June 26th, 7:00pm as part of the 8th Annual Manhattan Film Festival.
