The coming-of-age 80s comedy “Pitching Tents” by indie production company Meritage Pictures ('Take Me Home,' '20 Weeks') is set to debut on Hulu June 1st, and the title is also available for purchase on popular VOD platforms.

Detroit native Alex Maniak aka Shortly is excited to drop her new song “Spare Time” today, her first offering of new music since signing to New York's Triple Crown Records last year.  The track was produced by Hop Alongguitarist Joe Reinhart (Modern Baseball, Smidley, Algernon Cadwallader) at The Headroom in Philadelphia, PA – along with “Spare Time,” the duo worked together on an entire set of songs that will be released throughout the year.  Following an appearance at this weekend's BLED FEST in Michigan, Shortly will embark on a quick Northeast run that hits NYC on May 30th – leading up to performances at Cleveland's Spring Fling Festivaland Chicago's Do Division Street Fest with the likes of The Front Bottoms, Ted Leo, and Deerhoof.  Shortly will then head out on a Midwest run with Bad Bad Hats before joining Bon Iver, Alvvays, Vince Staples and more on July 28th at the Mo Pop Festivalin her home city.

Astronauts, etc. is the Bay Area's Anthony Ferraro, classically trained pianist and touring keyboardist for Toro y Moi; today he announced his sophomore album Living In Symbol, which was co-produced by Toro y Moi's Chaz Bear and will be released on his label Company Records on July 27. Living In Symbol is a spacey and strange vision of the future, as heard on the haunting lead single 'The Border,' which Ferraro says is meant to capture 'the modern strangeness of how it feels to be uncertain about what you actually believe.' The Fader premiered the single's music video today.
