HISTORY®, Nitro Circus and Caesars Palace have partnered for, “Evel Live,” an unprecedented three hour live event airing on Sunday, July 8 at 8 p.m. ET / 5 p.m. PT on HISTORY®. “Evel Live” will see motorsports superstar Travis Pastrana pay tribute to Evel Knievel, the founding father of motorcycle stunts, and aim to the push the limits even farther than the American icon. Caesars Palace, world-famous home of memorable moments in both sport and entertainment and the site of Evel Knievel's legendary fountain jump 50 years ago, will host the grand finale jump, both for a national TV audience and a packed Las Vegas crowd.

SHOWTIME has ordered the comedy series BLACK MONDAY, starring and executive produced by Emmy® nominated and Golden Globe® winning actor Don Cheadle – returning to SHOWTIME after a five-season run as star and executive producer of HOUSE OF LIES – with two-time Tony Award® nominee and Grammy®winner Andrew Rannells (Girls) and Regina Hall (Girls Trip) also leading the cast. The series was created by David Caspe (Happy Endings) and Jordan Cahan (My Best Friend's Girl), who will serve as executive producers and showrunners. Emmy nominees Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg (Preacher, Superbad), who will also executive produce, directed the pilot. With an 10-episode order, BLACK MONDAY, a co-production between SHOWTIME and Sony Pictures Television Studios, will premiere in 2019. The announcement was made today by David Nevins, President and CEO of Showtime Networks Inc.

 In partnership with House of Blues Music Forward Foundation, Live Nation, the world's leading live entertainment company, is awarding $30,000 in scholarships among three outstanding recipients pursuing careers in the music industry. Established in 2016, this scholarship program is just one of Live Nation's many efforts to support the future of the live entertainment business and is one of the few scholarships specifically designed to support students interested in the core aspects of the concert business, including: concert promotion, venue operation, ticketing, sponsorship, e-commerce and artist management.

NEON has acquired North American rights to Nia DaCosta's debut film Little Woods which premiered in April at Tribeca Film Festival. Written and directed by DaCosta, the resulting film is a reimagining of the traditional western film as told from the female perspective.

The 4th Annual Asian World Film Festival (AWFF) will once again be held in Culver City, with opening night scheduled for Wednesday, October 24, 2018 and closing night Thursday, November 1, it was announced today by the film festival's Executive Director, Georges N. Chamchoum. This year's theme will focus on the female empowerment.

From July 12-28, 2018, the “relentlessly inventive” (New York Magazine) new music collective Bang on a Can collaborates with MASS MoCA to present the 17th annual Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at MASS MoCA. The festival is a musical utopia for innovative musicians and adventurous listeners in the beautiful Berkshire Mountains of western Massachusetts, dedicated entirely to the creation, study, and performance of contemporary music. Featuring public performances, recitals, and lectures, the festival features over 60 cutting-edge composers and performers from around the globe, including over 42 fellows selected from a pool of more than 250 applicants from throughout the world. This year's featured guest composer is Steve Reich. MASS MoCA, 'a mind-blowing delight,' (New York Post) is one of the largest museums of contemporary art in the country, with exhibitions spaces dedicated to James Turrell, Laurie Anderson, Sol LeWitt, Anselm Kiefer and Jenny Holzer, as well as massive gallery spaces with exhibitions by Taryn Simon, Liz Glynn, Allison Janae Hamilton, and Rachel Howard among many others.

According to Variety, Nicole Kidman and her production company Blossom Films have signed a first-look deal with Amazon Studios. Under the agreement, Kidman will develop theatrical and series content for the digital company.

ABC presents a two-hour television special that features an emotional interview with figure skater Tonya Harding, who opens up about her life now, her childhood and her past, discussing the attack on figure skater Nancy Kerrigan that dominated headlines for weeks and the alleged tumultuous relationships she had with both her mother, LaVona “Sandy” Golden, and her now ex-husband, Jeff Gillooly. The special features rarely seen video of Harding as a child and interviews with television news anchor Connie Chung whose interview with Harding during the 1994 Olympics was cut short when she walked out; Christine Brennan, USA Today sports columnist and ABC commentator; Dody Teachman, Harding's former and current coach; Norman Frink, the former district attorney who prosecuted Harding and Gillooly; Matt Harkins and Viviana Olen, curators of THNK1994, the Tonya Harding and Nancy Kerrigan museum; Sandra Luckow, director of “Hard Edges,” the 1986 documentary on Harding; People magazine's Kate Coyne; sports broadcaster Ann Schatz; and “I, Tonya” Golden Globe®-nominated actors Margot Robbie who plays Harding and Allison Janney as Golden, as well as Sebastian Stan as Gillooly. “Truth and Lies: The Tonya Harding Story” airs Saturday, June 16 (9:00–11:00 p.m. EDT), on ABC. To celebrate the new limited drama series SHARP OBJECTS joining the network's summer lineup, HBO is partnering with film podcast FILMSPOTTING to host advance screenings in SEATTLE and CHICAGO. The Seattle event onJune 19th will feature an advance screening of the series premiere and Q&A with series co-star Chris Messina. On Friday the 13th of July, Gillian Flynn, author, writer and executive producer will join Chicagoans for a sneak peek of episode two followed by a panel discussion moderated by Filmspotting.

The series follows ambitious FBI agent Holden Ford (Jonathan Groff) as he struggles to comprehend incarcerated killers, so that he might use this knowledge to catch others. He's teamed with experienced agent Bill Tench (Holt McCallany) in the Behavioral Science Unit and will work with his sometimes reluctant partner to find new methods of investigation. Together they will meet some of America's gravest killers, including Edmund Kemper (played by a mesmerizing Cameron Britton) – and face the cynicism and scorn of the tradition-bound hierarchy of the 1970s' Federal Bureau of Investigation. Ford will risk empathizing with 'evil' in order to save lives. But, as Tench says, when arguing the case for their work: “How do we get ahead of crazy if we don't know how crazy thinks?”
