The York Theatre Company continues the Winter 2013 Musicals in Mufti Series with Hollywood Pinafore, with book & lyrics by George S. Kaufman and music by Sir Arthur Sullivan.

THE BOOK OF MORMON, winner of nine Tony Awards including Best Musical, is pleased to announce a lottery ticket policy for the First National Tour, which begins March 12 at the Fisher Theatre in Detroit and plays a limited two week engagement March 12-24, 2013. In Detroit, the production will conduct a pre-show lottery at the box office, making 20 tickets per performance available at $29 apiece.

Guest conductor Jun Markl will lead the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra in a program featuring ASO Principal Bassoon Carl Nitchie at center stage for Mozart's Bassoon Concerto in B-Flat Major. Also on the program is Beethoven's Symphony No. 6, "Pastorale," and Ravel's Le tombeau de Couperin. The performances will take place March 14-16, 2013, at 8:00 p.m., in Atlanta Symphony Hall at the Woodruff Arts Center.

This morning, the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe marked the beginning of a new era: The 17-year-old contemporary arts organization has officially changed its name to FringeArts. Conductor Harry Christophers and stunning British choral ensemble The Sixteen offer their third volume of choral works by Giovanni Pierluigi da Palestina (1525-1594), “the prince and father of music,” exploring music for the Easter period. The highly-anticipated volume follows Volume 1, an International Classical Music Award winner, and Volume 2, based on themes of the Nativity. Ravinia announces the festival debut of rock musician pairing David Byrne & St. Vincent on Saturday, July 6.
