Profiles in History, run by Joe Maddalena, has announced that items from the original three Star Wars films will be up for auction at their December 15th and 16th, 'Drama, Action, Romance: The Hollywood Auction.' Selected items from the upcoming auction are detailed below.

Generations of audiences - more than 60 million people from 68 countries - have seen Lord of the Dance created by Michael Flatley, the world's highest grossing Irish dance show. The National YoungArts Foundation today announced its 2013 YoungArts Winners. Out of approximately 10,000 applications, 685 emerging young artists have been recognized for their outstanding work and accomplishments in one of nine disciplines across the visual, literary and performing arts fields. A spectacular musical instrument collection assembled by Sau-Wing Lam (1923-1988) will go on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art beginning December 18. This is the first time that works from the renowned Lam Collection will be on public display in the United States. The instruments on view-nine violins and one viola-will include such masterpieces as the Baltic violin by Giuseppe Guarneri "del Gesu" (1698-1744), and the Scotland University and Bavarian violins by Antonio Stradivari (1644-1737). The opening date of The Sau-Wing Lam Collection of Rare Italian Stringed Instruments coincides with the 275th anniversary of the death of Antonio Stradivari.

Restaurants and chefs with roots in both New York City and Las Vegas have inspired a unique food and wine event to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy: 'Start Spreadin' the News.' Amidst friends, family, colleagues and staff, Terre Jones-Wolf Trap's longtime President and CEO-today enjoyed a very extraordinary occasion with the unveiling of the Terrence D. Jones Family Education Hall. In a final celebratory action before Jones's retirement, the Wolf Trap family recognized its visionary leader for his myriad signature achievements, including the creation of the national Center for Education, which houses the newly named Education Hall. Wolf Trap Foundation Board of Directors Chairman John C. Lee, IV, also announced two other actions taken by the Board: Jones will receive the title of President Emeritus effective January 1, 2013, and Wolf Trap has created an endowment fund in his honor to support the Foundation's continued commissioning of new works, a practice that exemplifies Jones' long-held commitment to the creation of new work.
