Continuing its popular tradition, The Jewish Museum will be open on Christmas Day, Tuesday, December 25 from 11 am to 4:30 pm. When many families are looking for something special to do, The Jewish Museum offers an eagerly anticipated, fun-filled way to spend the day. A highlight this year is three ticketed concerts for families starring The Macaroons at 11:30 am, 1:15 pm and 3 pm. Concert tickets are $20 per adult, $15 per child.

Songwriter, singer, actor, and Tonight show favorite, Paul Williams was a cultural icon throughout the 1970s and 1980s. His remarkable career, including his recent comeback, will be showcased in a weekend retrospective at Museum of the Moving Image, January 25 through 27, 2013. Williams will be present for all screenings, including a new digital restoration of Ishtar (which was filmed across the street from the Museum at the Kaufman Astoria Studios), Brian De Palma's Phantom of the Paradise, The Muppet Movie, and the acclaimed new documentary Paul Williams: Still Alive.

Pumpkin Theatre continues our 45th Anniversary Season, "A Celebration of Imagination" with Quest of the ZIZ Bird. A NEW PLAY with book and lyrics by Pumpkin Theatre Producing Artistic Director, Jimi Kinstle and music by Ryan Michael Haase (Artistic Director, Stillpointe Theatre Initiative) based on the children's book The Hardest Word, by Jacqueline Jules. Croatian cellists Luka Sulic and Stjepan Hauser, known as 2CELLOS, are back with a brand new music video and a new album. Contemporary classical group Musiqa will present its first 2013 concert, Percussive Illusions, at the Hobby Center's Zilkha Hall on January 12 at 7:30 p.m. The concert features the award-winning University of Houston Percussion Ensemble, directed by Blake Wilkins. The concert explores the evolution of percussion throughout the past century, highlighting its rhythmic virtuosity and timbral richness through a variety of works and instrumentation. Percussion's capacity to shape the experience of film is also explored in a trio of films curated by Aurora Picture Show.

City Theatre begins the New Year with Seminar, a sharp, Broadway comedy about power, sex, and art by Theresa Rebeck. Directed by Tracy Brigden, Seminar runs on City Theatre's Mainstage from January 19 to February 10, 2013, with an Opening Night performance on Friday, January 25 at 8pm.

Opening Thursday, January 17th, 2013 and running until Sunday, February 3rd, 2013, Alemaedae Theater & Xavier Films present in cooperation with Road Less Traveled Productions (RLTP), the hilarious comedy stage play The Wonderful World of Peter Williams. The play, a highly anticipated prequel to the hit comedy stage play So Fierce: Peter Williams, was written and produced by Alemaedae Theater's CEO / Founder Phil Davis Sr. and stars RLTP Ensemble member Barry Williams as Peter Williams. The play will be presented at the Road Less Traveled Theater, in Downtown Buffalo's Theatre District.

Off-Broadway's newest hit comedy HOW TO BE A NEW YORKER will be playing a special holiday schedule next week with three added performances.
