On the heels of their acclaimed 2012 year-long world tour, Crosby, Stills & Nash will tour again in 2013, beginning with a series of dates in May in the Southeastern United States. The tour begins May 5 at the Hard Rock Live in Orlando, FL, and concludes at the Hard Rock Casino & Resort in Biloxi, MS on May 25. Other highlights include Ruth Eckerd Hall in Clearwater, FL (May 7), the Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, FL (May 10-11), the Peace Center Concert Hall in Greenville, SC (May 21), and the Performing Arts Center in Montgomery, AL (May 24). The Hartt School Community Division brings Preparacion Fisica dance classes to the Greater-Hartford community in 2013. The classes will be instructed by Eddy Tovar of the Texas Ballet Theatre. Preparacion Fisica is a physical training program designed for the Cuban national Ballet School and used by top ballet performers throughout the world. Classes are for adults and teens age 15 and up. Connecticut's premier outdoor Shakespeare company announced today that it will present As You Like It, one of Shakespeare's most beloved and pastoral comedies in the summer of 2013. Claire Shannon Kelly, currently the Director of Youth Programming for Shakespeare on the Sound and the director of the company's touring educational program, "Speaking Daggers," will direct. Kelly previously worked at the Ordway Theater, the Guthrie Theater, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey and the George Street Playhouse.

The Board of Governors of the South Orange Performing Arts Center (SOPAC) today announced the appointment of Mark Packer as its new Executive Director in an executive search process guided by Arts Consulting Group. Packer will assume his official duties at SOPAC on March 1, 2013.

Stages of Discovery will sponsor a workshop, on Saturday, February 16, 2013 on Directing. The workshop is for high school students and adults and will begin at 10:00 a.m. and conclude at 3:00 p.m. The workshop will be taught by Leeds Bird, a long-time director at Bay City Players. Leeds has a master's degree in theatre from MSU and is a retired high school theatre teacher. He also has experience as a professional actor and director.

The Arc Theatre expands from three successful years in residence at "Shakespeare on the Ridge" in Evanston to present the first show of its inaugural full season. Symphony Space's long-running public radio program, Selected Shorts, is pleased to be joined by an all-star line-up of guest hosts in 2013. Stephen Colbert, Neil Gaiman, John Lithgow, Cynthia Nixon, David Sedaris, and BD Wong, writers and performers who have all participated in previous Selected Shorts shows, each bring their own unique voice, humor, and insight to the hosting duty and honor the memory of Selected Shorts' creator and long-time host, Isaiah Sheffer, who passed away last month after a brief illness.

When the annual NAMM Show (National Association of Music Merchants) gets underway at the Anaheim Convention Center later this month, one of the performers will be the Los Angeles-based Ben Babylon Band (BBB).
