HIT THE WALL Begins Off-Broadway at the Barrow Street Theatre, 2/19January 10, 2013Producers Scott Morfee, Jean Doumanian and Tom Wirtshafter announced today they will present the New York premiere of the new play, Hit the Wall by Ike Holter, a theatrical exploration of the first night of the 1969 Stonewall Riots, at the Barrow Street Theatre. Directed by Eric Hoff, with original music & music supervision by Dan Lipton, performances for Hit the Wall begin on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Barrow Street Theatre (27 Barrow Street at 7th Avenue), with an opening night set for Sunday, March 10, 2013. Next Theatre Company Begins 2013 With Jonathan Safran Foer's EVERYTHING IS ILLUMINATEDJanuary 10, 2013Next Theatre Company announces the third production in their 32nd season, Jonathan Safran Foer's Everything is Illuminated, adapted by Simon Block and directed by Devon de Mayo, at Noyes Cultural Arts Center, 927 Noyes Street. Previews are Thursday, Feb, 21 at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, Feb.22 and Saturday, Feb. 23 at 8 p.m. and Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. Opening night is Tuesday, Feb. 26 at 7 p.m. The regular performance schedule is Thursdays at 7:30 p.m., Fridays at 8 p.m., Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. There are Saturday 4 p.m. performances March 9, 16, 23 and 30. Palace Theatre Announces Samuel P. Hunt Foundation GrantJanuary 10, 2013The Palace Theatre has announced it is a recipient of a $41,042 grant award from the Samuel P. Hunt Foundation for a new orchestra pit cover. The Hunt Foundation, located in Manchester, NH, was created for general charitable purposes. The latest gift to the Palace Theatre Trust will be used to support the purchase and installation of a new orchestra pit cover that will replace an out-of-date, heavy, wooden pit with limited functions. The replacement pit cover will provide the Palace stage with a safer surface and increased design capabilities.

The Frick to Present Drawings and Prints from the Clark, 3/12-6/16January 10, 2013This spring the Frick will present a selection of nineteenth-century French drawings and prints from the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute in Williamstown, Massachusetts.
