Canadian Stage presents Haptic, Holistic Strata, Sayonara and I, Worker in a one-week festival of Japanese theatre and dance as part of Spotlight Japan. This series is part of a city-wide celebration of classic and contemporary Japanese culture taking place from January through April 2013, programmed by five of Toronto's leading cultural institutions: TIFF, Canadian Stage, Soundstreams, the Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre and the Japan Foundation.

NYC-based, indie-pop duo MS MR has announced that their debut album, Second Hand Rapture, will be released May 14th in the U.S. on Columbia Records. To coincide with this announcement a stream of "Fantasy," a new track on the upcoming album, is available now HERE. Lizzy Plapinger (MS) and Max Hershenow (MR) began their musical collaboration in December of 2010, recording in secrecy, at Hershenow's home studio in Brooklyn, NY over the course of 2011. Produced by Hershenow, with additional production and mix by Tom Elmhirst, Second Hand Rapture is comprised of 12 tracks and includes the band's debut single "Hurricane."

Award-winning dancer, teacher, and choreographer Peter Chu is thrilled to debut his first-ever world premiere choreographed work with an internationally renowned classically trained ballet company. The legend of the gridiron comes to life on stage. 1965, and cub reporter Michael McCormick has been assigned to follow the Green Bay Packers' winning coach. Hoping to discover what makes Vince Lombardi so successful, he uncovers Lombardi the man-husband, father, bully and friend-full of passion and drive without equal. As McCormick explores Lombardi's relationships with his wife and players, he finds the coach to be a perfectionist whose every breath is football, and a source of inspiration with a few surprises of his own.

In celebration of Koerner Hall's fifth anniversary, Dr. Peter Simon, President of The Royal Conservatory, and Mervon Mehta, Executive Director of Performing Arts, revealed today some of the details of the 2013-14 concert season. As always, the upcoming season will include pop, world music, and new special series. Classical and jazz concerts are being announced now, and the rest of the season of over 70 concerts will be released in June. The Conservatory is thrilled to welcome Broadway star Audra McDonald; soprano Natalie Dessay with composer and pianist Michel Legrand; cellist Mischa Maisky; violinists Midori, Isabelle Faust, and Leonidas Kavakos; pianists Yuja Wang, András Schiff, Kirill Gerstein, and Menahem Pressler; Europa Galante with Fabio Biondi; and jazz musicians Joe Sealy, Jackie Richardson, Arlene Duncan, Ranee Lee, Ramsey Lewis Quintet, Dee Dee Bridgewater, Terri Lyne Carrington, Lalah Hathaway, Nona Hendryx, John Pizzarelli, Daniela Nardi, and The Manhattan Transfer.

Celebrating 80 years, the Bergen County Players (BCP) will present Beehive, The 60s Musical, a rollicking revue of a musical decade dominated by historically powerful female performers. Under the direction of Dottie Fischer, Beehive will be performed at the Little Firehouse Theatre in Oradell from February 16th through March 9th.
