Lulu & the Paige-Turners Play The Butterfly Club Tonight
Lulu & the Paige-Turners will tour Melbourne next week, performing tonight, October 15th at The Butterfly Club to launch their debut EP 'Bookends & Begin-Agains'.
Lulu & the Paige-Turners have been mesmerizing Hobart audiences with their magnificent theatre shows since April this year when they introduced themselves to a sold out audience at the Peacock Theatre. Stunning performances and striking decorative touches born from Lulu's wondrous imagination have captured the hearts of locals.
Since their debut, Lulu & the Paige-Turners have toured the United Kingdom and most recently launched their EP 'Bookends & Begin-Agains' in Hobart. With a captivating new set design of candles adjacent with an upside down forest that hung from the rafters, Lulu & the Paige-Turners achieved a new feat with two shows at the Peacock Theatre that went only a handful of tickets shy from being a double sell out. Lulu & the Paige-Turners are creating something special and enthralling in the little heart shaped island Tasmania.
Inspired by the performances of bands such as gypsy-cabaret group Rapscallion and punk-cabaret duo The Dresden Dolls, Lulu & the Paige-Turners dynamic spectacle is awe inspiring.
Lulu presents the magnetism of a confident leading lady and curates a bold performance. Contemporary sounds and sweet melodies meet cabaret-esque rhythm and vocal attitude that mesmerize listeners into Lulu's world. As she lets you in to this world, playfulness and fragility emerges to present a compelling naivety to her character that adds to Lulu's alluring persona and live performance.
Lulu & the Paige-Turners will make their Melbourne debut with a special trio show: October 15th | 'Bookends & Begin-Agains' Launch - The Butterfly Club, Melbourne. Tickets now on sale: http://bitly.com/lulubutterfly.
