Australia's Kookiest Musical Comedy Trio Comes to Alex Theatre Image

This Christmas, Australia's kookiest musical comedy trio will leave the dusty curtained world of their family home in Esk, rural Queensland, to share their (until now) secret Kransky family festivities, stopping at the Alex Theatre in St Kilda, 26 November - 2 December.

The Kransky Sisters' A Very Kransky Christmas takes you inside the oddball spinsters' old rickety house of traditions like egg nog, panty-hose and painted vegetables.

The weirdly endearing sisters entertain with curious real-life stories between unique musical arrangements of popular songs they've gleaned from their old wireless, replete with beautiful lilting harmonies and some delightfully surprising contemporary pop covers.

With their unusual array of instruments - cheese grater, toilet brush, tuba, musical saw - these eccentric, dysfunctional siblings take Christmas family get-togethers to a strangely hilarious new level, drawing a cult following wherever they go.

From Enya to Silent Night, Daft Punk to The Twelve Days of Christmas, you'll never hear a Kransky-fied song the same way again.

Settle in with these macabre off-the-wall aunties for what could be your quirkiest, most twisted Christmas yet!

Presented by QPAC, The Kransky Sisters, AList Entertainment, Aleksandar Vass and Vass Productions.

The Kransky Sisters - A Very Kransky Christmas Alex Theatre, 135 Fitzroy Street, St Kilda Mon 26 November - Sunday 2 December 2018 | Tickets from alextheatrestk.com.au
