Mary Moody Northen Theatre, the award-winning producing arm of the St. Edward's University professional theatre training program, continues its 41st anniversary season with the hilarious and touching musical Merrily We Roll Along, book by George Furth, music and lyrics by Stephen Sondheim, based on the play by George S. Kaufman and Moss Hart. This delightful production runs April 3 - 13, 2014.

Set over three decades and traveling backward in time, Merrily We Roll Along charts the turbulent relationship between three friends, Franklin, Charley and Mary, as they negotiate their personal and professional lives in the entertainment business. Poignant, heartfelt and witty, this award winning musical features some of Sondheim's most beautiful songs, including Good Thing Going, Not a Day Goes By and Good Friends.

Merrily We Roll Along will feature guest artists Tyler Jones, Jarret Mallon and Scott Shipman. The production will be directed by Ev Lunning, Jr. with musical direction by Susan Finnigan.

Performances will run Thursday - Saturday evenings at 7:30 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. A performance will be added on Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at 7:30 p.m.

Merrily We Roll Along will feature student discount nights Friday, April 4 and Thursday, April 10. Student tickets will be $8 with ID.

Mary Moody Northen Theatre operates on a professional model and stands at the center of the St. Edward's University Theatre Training Program. Through the Mary Moody Northen Theatre, students work alongside professional actors, directors and designers, explore all facets of theatrical production and earn points towards membership in Actor's Equity Association, the union of professional actors and stage managers in the United States.
