Hideout Theatre Presents BIG BASH HOLIDAY EXTRAVAGANZA this Month

By:

This Holiday season, The Hideout Theatre is welcoming a new show to its line-up. This new creation is a perfect night out for improv comedy fans and people who have never seen improv. Beginning in December, every Friday night at 8 p.m., The Big Bash Holiday Extravaganza will feature an all-star line-up of performers giving audiences a funny, smart, and entertaining evening out. Once the holiday run is over, the show will switch to The Big Bash: All-Star Improv and will continue its run. Tickets to each show cost $15 and are available online at www.hideouttheatre.com. Performances start December 6 at 8 p.m. The Hideout Theatre is located at 617 Congress Ave. Discounts are available for groups of 10 or more.

The Big Bash Holiday Extravaganza's all-star lineup of performers will kick off the holidays with games, scenes and improvised stories in the audience's favorite genres. This show combines the very best parts of the Hideout's award winning shows and award winning improv comedians. The Big Bash is a guaranteed hilarious date night, company outing, bachelorette party, or more.

"This is the type of show we've wanted to do for years. With The Big Bash, we're stacking the deck for an awesome night out," said Hideout Theatre Artistic Director Roy Janik. "We've gathered a cast of top-notch performers with years of experience and created a show that is accessible, surprising, and hilarious."

The Hideout Theatre is Austin's premiere improv venue, offering shows, classes and corporate training downtown since 1999. The theatre strives to explore what improv is capable of, in every way they can think of. Hideout Theatre shows are by nature funny but they can also be evocative, sad, cathartic, shocking, moving, stylized, theatrical, purposeful, and experimental. Chicago-Style, NY-Style, CA-Style, Austin-Style - the theatre does it all (especially Austin-Style, it's their specialty). The theatre is in the epicenter of the ongoing Austin improv revolution.
