Yul Vazquez Joins Chris Rock, Bobby Canavale and More in LA's MOTHERF**KER WITH THE HAT Tonight
Tony Nominee Yul Vazquez will join Chris Rock, Bobby Canavale (Tony Nominee) Elizabeth Rodriguez (Tony Nominee) and Annabella Sciorra - all in their original Broadway roles - for this 2011 Tony Nominated Best Play, The Motherf**ker with the Hat, presentede by L.A. Theatre Works beginning tonight, Jan. 31 at the James Bridges Theater.
Stephen Adly Guirgis strikes gold with this expletive-laden comedy about a recovering addict trying to find the future he left behind.. As he reunites with his high-flying girlfriend, he spies a man's hat near her bed. His crusade to find its owner becomes a whacked ride in which modern relationships get dissected through the cracked prism of Guirgis' genius. Directed by Jace Alexander.
The original production of The Motherf**ker with the Hat premiered on Broadway in 2011, running for 112 regular performances. It earned Tony Award nominations for Best Play, and received nominations for Cannavale, Rodriguez and Vazquez.
