Michael Riedel of the New York Post has reported that bidding wars for the Broadway transfer of "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child: Parts I &II have begun among theater owners.

Bucking the usual tradition of Broadway's gatekeeper's choosing their tenants, the producers of Cursed Child undeniably retain the upper hand in these deliberations as Cursed Child, a staged sequel to the international best-selling Harry Potter book series, is sure to be a long-running hit for any theater that should acquire it.

Among the theaters being considered are the Ambassador Theater Group's Lyric Theater, current home to "Cirque du Soleil's Paramore", the Al Hirschfeld, where "Kinky Boots" continues to enjoy a crowd-pleasing run, and the Neil Simon Theater, which currently houses the first Broadway revival of "Cats".

Also being considered as homes for Harry and co. are the Imperial Theater, currently slated to welcome "Natasha, Pierre, and the Great Comet of 1812" and The Winter Garden Theater where "School of Rock" currently plays, though sources remain skeptical that the show's composer, Andrew Lloyd Webber, would be willing to vacate the popular space.
