Video: Jon Michael Hill Is Glad for the Universality of PURPOSE
Jon Michael Hill is nominated for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Play.
Purpose is a wonderful beast of a new play, running at almost three hours, eight times a week at the Hayes Theatre. At the center of it is Jon Michael Hill, who tells the Jasper family's story and remaining centerstage throughout.
"I think Branden [Jacobs-Jenkins] has made the nuance [in this play] very pronounced and I think people are responding to that," He told BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge. "That's the best part about it, but also... I've gotten to work with some of the greatest actors on the planet! Learning form them and being in community... we're having a really good time."
