"I feel so connected to [Betty] My soul feels a part of this show and that's why when I got turned down [at my first audition], I was crushed in a way that I'd never been crushed before," she told BroadwayWorld's Richard Ridge. "I get to be Betty Boop, but also so much of Jasmine. It feels amazing."
