On last night's Saturday Night Live, the cast performed an epic medley of songs from Les Miserables. But instead of Jean Valjean, Cosette, and the rest of the characters we know and love, the cast was made up of...lobsters?

In the sketch, host John Mulaney played a waiter in a diner who is aghast when a man (played by Pete Davidson) orders lobster. The lobster, played by Kenan Thompson, is then wheeled out in a giant tank of water, and the hilarity ensues.

Thompson and Cecily Strong duet on a parodied version of Who Am I? Then Cosette, played by Kate McKinnon, emerges to tell her papa that she would gladly take his place in "the great tank in the sky."

Finally, the sketch concludes with a full cast, barricade and all, singing a rousing rendition of Do You Hear the People Sing? complete with sing-along subtitles.

As the lyrics say, "When the churning in your bowels/Matches the burning of his shell/You'll know why lobsters in a diner never sell."
