In a recent Hollywood Reporter Roundtable discussion, top directors Quentin Tarantino, Ridley Scott, David O. Russell, Danny Boyle, Tom Hooper and Alejandro G. Inarritu discussed their successful directorial careers.

Tarantino once again teased the idea of bringing his latest film, THE HATEFUL EIGHT, to the stage. "What I want to do basically is I want to write novels, and I want to write and direct theater," explained the director, who also maintained his earlier declaration that he will only direct a total of ten movies in his career.

He went on to share, "The next thing I'd like to do is a theatrical adaptation of 'Hateful Eight' becaue I like the idea of other actors having a chance to play my characters and see what happens from that." Watch the comments below, beginning at the 30-minute mark.

THE HATEFUL EIGHT hit theaters on on January 8th, 2016. The film is set six or eight or twelve years after the Civil War, when a stagecoach hurtles through the wintry Wyoming landscape. The passengers, bounty hunter John Ruth (Russell) and his fugitive Daisy Domergue (Leigh), race towards the town of Red Rock where Ruth, known in these parts as "The Hangman," will bring Domergue to justice. Along the road, they encounter two strangers: Major Marquis Warren (Jackson), a black former union soldier turned infamous bounty hunter, and Chris Mannix (Goggins), a southern renegade who claims to be the town's new Sheriff.
