While performing a show in Los Angeles on Sunday, July 21, Glee star Chord Overstreet dedicated an original song to his late friend and co-star Cory Monteith. Castmates, Kevin McHale, Dianna Agron and Jenna Ushkowitz, were in the audience to show their support.

"I've suffered losing a really, really dear friend of mine so I want to play this song for him," Overstreet told the crowd, adding, "This is for you Cory." Watch the performance below.

Following the set, the actor told E! News that Monteith was the "the Greatest Dude You'd Ever Met." "Everybody loved him...I spent more time with him than I have with anyone in my family in the last three or four years...We're a family," he revealed.

In light of Monteith's death, production on Glee's fifth season has been pushed back from July 29 until late August, with the show's premiere episode now set to air September 26th.

Monteith was found dead in a Vancouver hotel room on July 13. Autopsy and toxicity results showed that the actor died of a drug overdose with heroin and alcohol found in his body. A memorial service for the cast and crew is being planned for this week on the Paramount Lot in Hollywood.
