Broadway's Longacre Theatre, currently the home of Mike Tyson: UNDISPUTED TRUTH, has been under the threat of attack from a Twitter user.

"I might just shoot up this theater in New York," the account tweeted earlier this week. "I know they leave their exit doors unlocked. I'm serious, people are gonna die like Aurora."

Twitter initially denied the NYPD access to the Twitter user’s information, stating that the account 'doesn’t fall under the criteria of a serious threat.' Yesterday, in response, the NYPD subpoenaed Twitter; CBS reports this morning that the social networking site has complied.

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey told CBS that he was unaware of the situation, adding that Twitter's aim is to protect its users: "I don't know this specific case. I haven't been briefed on it. But we always comply with local laws, and we also have to balance that with defending our users' voice, which we believe strongly in."

An investigation into the intent beyond the threats is ongoing.
