Tom Cruise Gives Public Miami Concert Tonight as 'Stacee Jaxx' for ROCK OF AGES Film, 7/18

According to published reports,Tom Cruise will give a concert tonight in Miami in character as Stacee Jaxx to be filmed for the ROCK OF AGES film. Crusie will reportedly be singing Bon Jovi's "Wanted, Dead or Alive" and Journey's "Don't Stop Believing." The concert is taking place at Sun Life Stadium in Miami Gardens. A New Line Cinema casting notice for the crowd called for 80s enthusiasts over 16 dressed in their best 80s garb. Cruise's co-stars Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta will also perform alongside Cruise. 

New Line Cinema's film version of the smash hit Broadway musical "Rock of Ages" is currently filming under the direction of Adam Shankman (HAIRSPRAY).

In addition to Tom Cruise as Stacee Jaxx, the film stars Diego Boneta as "Drew," Julianne Hough as "Sherrie," Russell Brand as "Lonny," Alec Baldwin as "Dennis," Mary J. Blige as "Justice," Brian Cranston as the Mayor, Malin Ackerman as "Constance Sack," Paul Giamatti as "Paul Gill," and Catherine Zeta-Jones as the "Mayor's Wife."

ROCK OF AGES tells the story of small town girl Sherrie and city boy Drew, who meet on the Sunset Strip while pursuing their Hollywood dreams. Their rock ‘n' roll romance is told through the heart-pounding hits of Def Leppard, Joan Jett, Journey, Foreigner, Bon Jovi, Night Ranger, REO Speedwagon, Pat Benatar, Twisted Sister, Poison, Whitesnake, and more.

Shankman directs ROCK OF AGES from a screenplay by Chris D'Arienzo, based on his musical. The film is being produced by Matt Weaver, Scott Prisand, Carl Levin, Tobey Maguire and Jen Gibgot, with Garrett Grant, Adam Shankman, Janet Billig Rich, Hillary Weaver, Toby Emmerich, Michael Disco and Samuel J. Brown serving as executive producers.
