Tim Lucas Will Bring WE'RE HAVIN' A PARTY to Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre
The Liverpool performer brings Motown, soul, and stand-up comedy to the SJT following LOVE'S LABOUR'S LOST (MORE OR LESS).
Following his appearance in the smash hit Love's Labour's Lost (more or less), Tim Lucas returns to Scarborough's Stephen Joseph Theatre next month with a special stripped-back edition of his sell-out show We're Havin' A Party.
His feel-good show, at the SJT on 4 June, is a lively celebration combining singing, stand-up comedy and live entertainment.
A popular performer with a huge and loyal following in his hometown of Liverpool, Tim is known for his natural Scouse wit and effortless audience connection. He blends storytelling, stand-up and live music in a way that feels spontaneous, relaxed and joyfully unpredictable. With nowhere to hide and nothing but a piano beside him, this is Tim at his most authentic – playful, heartfelt and completely in the moment.
We're Havin' a Party is a lively, feel-good celebration packed with nostalgia, Motown, soul, swing and rock 'n' roll. Classic hits including My Girl, Red Light Spells Danger and many more feature throughout the night, creating a soundtrack that invites audiences to sing along, groove in their seats and fully immerse themselves in the party atmosphere. At the heart of it all is Tim's natural comic style, which has become a defining feature of his performances.
Tim says: “I've always loved entertaining people – making them laugh, sing along and forget about everything for a couple of hours. This show is me putting everything I love into one place, and I can't wait to share it with Scarborough.”
Tim Lucas: We're Havin' a Party can be seen at the SJT at 7.30pm on Thursday 4 June. Tickets are available from the box office on 01723 370541 and online.
